UV Light for Pet Stains

Although my two dogs are housebroken, there are accidents from time to time. Even though I always try to clean the stains as thoroughly as possible, I have recently become obsessed with tracking down hidden sources of odor. That’s why I want to buy a UV light that will help uncover urine stains. I’ve been reading about various lights for the past hour, but it’s hard to make a choice because the customer reviews contain such conflicting information. Some lights “work great” for some people, while the very same products are called “cheap” and “useless” by others. The prices are all over the place too, ranging from $7 (I can just tell that one won’t work) to $1,600 (obviously I don’t need anything that elaborate). Guess I’ll have to spend even more time than I thought trying to figure this out!

Dream watch

I was looking at Omega watches tonight because I’m kind of tired of the one I’ve been wearing for 15 years. I think I’ve fallen in love with this gold and diamond Ladies Seamaster. What a beautiful timepiece!! Of course, Omega doesn’t publish prices on their website, but this particular piece is probably close to $20,000 (if not more). There’s no way I’d ever be able to afford something like that, but a girl can dream, right?

Camera Goggles

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s post about wanting a helmet cam for motorcycle rides, I discovered these very cool camera goggles that I also want to add to my Wish List! These goggles make it easy to take both video and still images underwater while leaving your hands totally free. I don’t dive at all, but my husband does, so I know he would LOVE to own a pair of camera goggles. They’re actually pretty cheap, too, which means I now have a fabulous idea for his next birthday!

Wow, I totally want one of these things!!! I checked Amazon, and the current price is about $269, which is not bad at all for HD. Gotta start saving for this helmet cam!

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean

I haven’t had much time to play video games recently, but I have been pleasantly surprised by LEGO titles in the past. That’s one reason I’m anxiously awaiting the release of LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean for DS. It is scheduled to coincide with the 4th installment of the film franchise, and will be available on May 10, which isn’t too far away now.

The gameplay looks similar to other LEGO favorites, so I have a feeling this one will be just as fun as Batman, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones. Can’t wait to buy it!

Cookware overhaul

I really need to update my cookware. Seriously, I’m still using stuff that my mother bought for me when I moved into my very first apartment in college — which was nearly 20 years ago already! I was browsing through a site this afternoon that has a decent le creuset sale going on right now, so this would be the perfect time to get new pots and pans. Too bad I’m a bit low on cash these days, otherwise I would have placed an order already. As it is, I might have to wait a couple months before buying what I need.

Street Hockey Goal

I’m trying to get my son interested in floor/street hockey right now. That’s something I grew up playing, and I know I always had a blast doing it, so I at least want my son to try. It’s better than having him sit in front of the TV playing video games all day long!

Anyway, I’m currently trying to buy some equipment, including this nice Mylec goal that I saw online. The thing is about $80, which isn’t bad considering how sturdy it is. I wonder if I should just buy a couple of sticks and a puck first and let my son shoot at the garage door before spending this much cash on something he might get tired of in two days. Oh, well — if he doesn’t take to hockey, I guess I can just shoot the puck around by myself!

Tomahawk Logo Tee

It’s been ages since I’ve purchased any Blackhawks gear (nothing this season, anyway), so I was browsing through the Wrigleyville Sports website to see what’s available. I saw this Tomahawk Logo tee, which I think is very cool! I’d love to get it, but it’s $30, which is quite steep for a t-shirt. I mean, that’s Abercrombie and Hollister territory, ya know? I’m kind of tired of paying so much money on pro sports gear, so I’m going to hold off on this for a while. I’ll add the item to my Wish List, but I doubt I’ll make a move on it unless it goes on sale!
