I’ve long wanted to try a bowel cleanse program as a supplement to my diet and exercise regimen to see if that would be the product to finally put me over the edge and help me lose these last few pounds. After browsing through many online sites and the nearest Whole Foods store, I decided to try something called Organic Bowel Cleanse by Renew Life.

This product is a powder that does not contain psyllium, senna, or cascara, which are very common ingredients in cleansers. Instead it has some kind of “triple fiber blend” that is supposed to help eliminate wastes and toxins without bloating, cramping, etc.

The directions say to take the product with juice or water in the morning, and then repeat in the evening as necessary. I found that once a day was all that I really required. The product worked as advertised, and though I wouldn’t exactly say that I’ve lost weight due to this cleanse, I do feel better.

After a couple weeks of daily use, I’m not sure that I need to continue at this pace. Maybe I’ll just keep it in the pantry and use it as a constipation remedy when needed. To be honest, it tastes pretty nasty and I can’t imagine having to choke this stuff down day after day after day. Why can’t these things ever taste, if not good, then at least neutral???

Anyway, if you’re looking for a safe, effective bowel/colon cleanse, give the Renew Life brand a try.

I already have my outfit picked out for the occasion: it’s this J. Crew three-quarter sleeve “perfect shirt” paired with Italian wool trousers. The outfit will set me back close to $260, and I want to look great in it!

But to pull off those particular trousers, I’m going to need some help. I will need to go on a major diet and crank up my exercise intensity for the foreseeable future. Shopping around for the best fat burners on the market wouldn’t hurt, either. It’s going to take a lot of work for sure, but the last time these girls saw me, I looked great and I definitely want to get at least somewhat close to that again. Vanity? Yeah, probably. But wouldn’t you at least try to look your best too??

I don’t mean the plastic or glass beads that most people think of. The ones I’m talking about look more like charms, and come in a huge variety of different styles and designs. For example, the item pictured here is called Morning Dew and is made by Chamilia, which produces lots of great beads. I think this one in particular is cute, and I’m looking forward to adding it to my bracelet! Beads are perfect for me because they’re fun, inexpensive, and go well with the casual outfits I tend to wear all the time. I should have started collecting these a long time ago!

For instance, I overhauled my make up bag, and switched to natural make up, which is supposed to be much better for my skin. I have found a couple of products that really work well for my skin tone and type, so I’m happy about that.

Unfortunately, I still need to buy concealer for the odd zit that pops up every now and then. I’m going to try this product from Living Nature. It’s not something I have ever used before, but I’ve read some good reviews about it and it seems like it would be perfect for me. Sure, I wish I didn’t even need concealer at all, but oh well!

I don’t really like to wear socks, even in winter. This isn’t a problem in the house, of course, as I can just walk around pretty comfortably in my bare feet or throw on a pair of slippers if I get a bit cold. But I going out is another matter. I tend to use my summer slides all year round, so it’s not unusual to see me in slides (with no socks, of course) in the middle of December as I’m dropping my Christmas cards off at the post office or whatever.

Anyway, because of my distaste for socks, I thought these winter slip-ons from Skechers would be perfect for me. They’re faux fur-lined, making them warm and comfortable even in the dead of winter. And though they might not look like the shoes womens magazines tend to highlight in ad campaigns, they’re just my style. I think they look great, and at $39.95, they’re a good bargain as well.

I can’t decide whether to buy these now or drop some hints and hope that Santa brings me a pair!

I am not that big on what goes on under my clothes, so I hardly ever replace my underwear until things start falling apart. I know, I know… that’s pretty apathetic, and even married women should care enough to keep some sexy lingerie on hand for special moments. I just have never been that kind of person, though, so I’ll probably end up replacing my current underwear with cheap stuff that comes in a package of 6 or whatever!

It seems that I look worse and worse each day, with the wrinkles on my face becoming more pronounced and the gray continuing to creep through my hair. Obviously, this stuff isn’t happening overnight, but it sure does feel that way.

Ugh, I what I think I really need to do is quit complaining and actually take some action for once. For instance, I should go ahead and color my hair the next time my stylist not-so-subtly hints at it. Also, I should go ahead and buy that Oxytoxin Type-II wrinkle cream that my friends have been raving about. I shouldn’t be ashamed and embarrassed to use these products. After all, that’s what they’re there for. And who knows, maybe I’ll actually start looking (and feeling) better after a month or two!

I have thick, unruly hair that tends to frizz in high humidity and just remain rather poofy and unmanageable at all times. No matter what kind of mousse or styling products I used, my hair would puff out around my head and just look terrible.

I tried Pantene’s Frizzy to Smooth conditioner a few weeks ago, not really expecting any dramatic results. After all, I’ve used things like this in the past without success. But this particular product actually works very well for me! It’s not as though it made my hair straight as an arrow, but it’s at least as effective as running a dehumidifier on the muggiest summer days. My hair now hangs closer to my head instead of puffing out, and though it still gets a bit curly at the ends, it’s not an all-out frizz any more.

I definitely recommend this product and will continue using it as much as I can. Wow, it’s great to have manageable hair again!
