The first time I ordered flowers online, I went with the website that published the lowest price for a nice arrangement. Imagine my surprise when I completed the order form and saw that an extra $20 in “service fees” had been added to my total! I wasn’t expecting that, and felt ripped off. But I had already spent so much time on everything that I didn’t have the energy to start over on another site.

Anyway, the experience made me a bit wiser when it comes to ordering a custom flower delivery online. From now on, I know to stick with a place that doesn’t charge any extra fees at all. For example, EZBloomers.com cuts out the middleman and deals directly with florists. That means there are no service fees or surprise additions to the total price at checkout. That means I’ll get more flowers for my money, which is precisely what I want.

I know who I’m using the next time I need to send flowers!

In case you were wondering what the most expensive car in the world is, feast your eyes on this photo. It’s the Lamoborghini Sesto Elemento, and features a hefty price tag of $2.9 million dollars. I am not into cars at all, so I simply cannot understand the attraction of something like this. Sure, it looks cool and it’s probably fast as hell. But is that enough to justify paying almost $3 mil for a CAR?

On the bright side, only 20 were made. I wonder how many were actually sold???

I purchased these Under Armour wristbands recently for two reasons. First, they feature my alma mater’s name and colors. Second, I need wristbands for when I jog in the summer because I’m often holding my iPod, cell phone, or stopwatch in my hands and hate when those things get all sweaty and gross.

Unfortunately, I didn’t read the product description closely enough before I bought these. They turned out to be the very thin 1-inch wristbands that football players wear high up on their arms to show off their biceps. I could do the same thing, I guess (under my shirt sleeves, of course), but I doubt that wearing them up that high would have any effect on stopping sweat from reaching my hands.

Other than the functionality issue, these wristbands look pretty sweet. They are black with gold lettering, and have the UA logo on one side and “Mizzou” on the other. Plus, they were cheap, so I guess all in all I can’t complain too much!

I went to the outlet mall with a friend today to see if I could find any good bargains. While I didn’t come away with anything for myself, I did find a Gap kids hoodie for my son. It is navy blue with yellow lettering, and the letters are stitched onto the front instead of just screenprinted.

It’s a fairly nice hoodie that originally retailed for about $30 according to the tag. I picked it up for about $18, which wasn’t too bad at all. My son loves hoodies and needs a couple new ones for this fall anyway. I usually don’t buy name brands for him, but made an exception here.

(And sorry, I was too lazy to take a picture, but the hoodie is very similar to this image I found on Google. The only difference is the lettering is yellow and there’s no “Rome” logo on it.)

Now that fall is just a couple weeks away, I’ve been shopping around for items that will keep me warm and toasty when the weather gets bad. One purchase I recently made was this plush blanket featuring my alma mater’s name, logo, and colors. The blanket is a nice 48″ x 60″ size, and is incredibly soft and comfortable. I haven’t actually had to use it yet, but I’ve already got it folded up neatly on my favorite recliner, where I plan to watch plenty of Tigers football!

This plush blanket usually retails for $29.99, but I got it at a 25% discount. That’s still a little high considering similar logo-less blankets can be had at Wal-Mart for less than $10, but I love supporting my teams!

Now that all the hoopla surrounding Kim Kardashian’s wedding is beginning to die down, I feel more inclined to look at photos and evaluate some of the fashions from the day. I have to say that I really liked Kim’s Vera Wang wedding dress. It was very elegant and classy, and was certainly far more understated than I expected from her.

Actually, considering the royal wedding from just a few months ago and some other high-profile nuptials that I’ve seen, it appears that conservative gowns are one of the latest celebrity wedding trends these days. And you know what? That’s a good thing! Kudos to Kim on her fashion choices for the big day!
