Camelbak Better Bottle

For years, I’ve been using different water bottles and thermoses for trips to the gym, biking, hiking, and other outdoor activities. Some have been better than others, but none has been perfect — until now. I bought a Camelbak Better Bottle (yes, that’s the name) a couple months ago after hearing lots of good things about it, and have finally found the ONE.

What makes the Better Bottle better? It doesn’t leak! Camelbak uses some kind of patented design along with a rubber piece called a “Bite Valve” to prevent spills even when the spout is flipped up and you shake the thing. The Bite Valve feels a little odd at first, but once you get used to it, the system is great.

The bottle itself is nicely constructed of BPA-free plastic, and has measuring lines to make it easy to see just how much water (or whatever) you have. You can use the bottle for hot or cold drinks, but since this is not insulated in any way, the temperature doesn’t hold for very long. I also like the ring on the cap, which makes it easy to carry around with a single finger or to clip onto a carabiner ring and then onto a backpack or belt loop.

All in all, the Camelbak Better Bottle is worth the money!
