The Chronic Consumer

I buy things — all the time!

New Gap Logo

Have you seen this new Gap logo? For some reason, the retailer decided a change was in order, so they came up with…this. The blogosphere and Twitterverse have reacted badly to the new logo, with most people deriding it as some cheap-looking thing that was made with Clip Art.

If Gap needed to change something, why not lower their prices or upgrade the POS systems or do something else that would positively affect the consumer? The logo change has done nothing except attract negative attention to the brand. That certainly cannot have been the goal!
