Well, so much for all the people who praised Michelle Obama to the skies for looking “fashionable” without spending a “fortune”. I’m talking about the newspaper and magazine writers who fawned all over the first lady for wearing J. Crew to the inauguration instead of some top designer. Looks like Michelle’s tastes have changed a bit since Jan. 20.

She was recently seen at a charity event in Lanvin sneakers that reportedly cost $540! Pretty crazy, huh?

Personally, I don’t begrudge Michelle for wanting a nice pair of shoes, and it’s not her fault that the media kissed her ass so bad about the J.Crew clothes. I just hope all the articles about Michelle being a “regular person”, “down-to-earth”, and “just like us” can stop. She’s upper class and lives a lifestyle 99% of us never will. End of story.
