I’ve been hitting the gym three times a week since February of this year. This is the first time in my life that I’ve ever had this kind of routine, and it’s really paying off. Not only do I feel great, but I’m also losing weight and getting back into shape after letting myself go a bit. I’ve lost about 10 pounds thus far, have toned my muscles, and look better than I have in years.
In fact, things are going so well that I think I’m ready to start wearing swimsuits again! My family makes several trips a year to the beach, but I always wear shorts and tees to lounge around on the sand because I’m usually too self-conscious about my weight to do otherwise. But now I think it’s time to start shopping around for swimwear again. I do have an old suit somewhere, but it’s not a very flattering cut, so something new is definitely in order.
Once I get a new suit, I might even start swimming laps at the gym pool every now and then to add a little variety to my workouts. It’s a win-win situation all around!
