Free Streaming MLB Games
April 5th, 2008 by Julie
Now that the baseball season has started, a lot of fans out there are looking for ways to follow their favorite out-of-market teams. For instance, say you grew up in Boston watching the Red Sox every summer, but now are living in Minnesota because of work or school. Are you going to be content watching the Twins for the entire season? Heck no!!
So what are your options? You can pay $179 for the DirecTV Extra Innings package — and still deal with blackouts and restrictions on Saturday and Sunday games. You could pay $89.95 for a full season of streaming games on MLB.com — and deal with connectivity issues that many customers have complained about.
Or, you can opt for free streaming MLB games through online p2p channels. One of the best that I’ve found is on a site called Myp2p.eu, which lists daily schedules for streaming baseball games. You need to download some free (and safe) software called TVAnts or SopCast, and then check the Myp2p.eu forums for game listings.
Not every game is available on TVAnts or SopCast, so if you’re a diehard fan who will suffer from withdrawal symptoms if you can’t watch your team play, you’re probably better off using one of the pay packages listed above. If, however, you’re strapped for cash and don’t mind if you miss a few of your favorite team’s games here and there, then the free streaming MLB option at Myp2p.eu will suffice.
Check out all three choices and let me know which one you pick!
